Video Shows Buhari Calling For Violence After 2011 Polls + Video inclusive

Barely six weeks before the 2015 presidential elections, a new video has surfaced on the Internet which showed Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, inciting his supporters in northern Nigeria for violence after the 2011 presidential election.

According to the 1 minutes 56 seconds clip posted on Youtube.com, the former Head of State was captured on camera calling on thousands of his supporters who gathered at a rally held in Minna, Niger State, to go all out to cast their votes and to kill anyone who stops them from doing this.

It was disclosed that Buhari’s call for violence after the 2011 election subsequently led to mass bloodshed in many parts of northern Nigeria after the presidential election that saw the election of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Below is the video posted on YouTube which has attracted thousands of views and comments:

It would be noted that despite the bloodshed that ensued after the 2011 presidential polls as a result of Gen Buhari’s call for violence, the APC candidate for next year’s presidential election has not come out to deny the allegation.

As a result of this, many Nigerians that commented after seeing the video questioned why a party (APC) that calls for CHANGE would present Buhari as his candidate.

What Will Happen To Nigerians When I Leave Office – Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan believes that Nigerians will truly realize all the good he did for Nigeria only when he leaves the office.

Speaking December 30 when paid a Christmas visit by a delegation from Bayelsa State, Jonathan also promised to try hard to meet the expectations of Nigerians in general and Bayelsans in particular.

According to Vanguard, the country’s leader stressed that it is only up to people to decide who will emerge winner in the 2015 presidential elections.

“The new year is full of challenges. Everywhere will be hot from the 2nd of January. I am here by the grace of God and the will of Nigerians. If I don’t do well the shame will be on you. I will do my best. I don’t expect praises now.

“It’s when you leave that people will begin to compare you with others. I will do my best to address all the challenges we are having. I will do my best so that when I leave the people will compare what I have done and what others before me have done. The seat belongs to the country and it is only the country that can decide who occupies it.”

Meanwhile the state’s governor Seriake Dickson said his delegation came to show solidarity with Jonathan and express appreciation to those supporting the President.

“We are here to show solidarity and to let everybody know that your people in Bayelsa are with you. It is in the spirit of Christmas that we are here on behalf of the people of Bayelsa to wish you, your government and family compliments of the season and a very happy, prosperous and victorious 2015.

“We bring you prayers and strong message of solidarity. We are here to thank Nigerians for their support for your government.”

It is expected that GEJ’s major opponent in the next year’s poll will be former military Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate. Forty five days are left before the country decides on its next President.

Falling Oil Prices: Mr Jonathan, Do You REALLY Need Another Aircraft? – MURIC

Muslim group urges President Goodluck Jonathan to lead Nigerians by example and not to buy a new aircraft in the course of the falling oil prices.

It would be recalled that in the recently presented 2015 budget Jonathan asked the National Assembly to approve the purchase of another jet. It is believed that it would be the President’s 4th acquirement of this kind since 2010.

Meanwhile the country leader Sunday called on his People to be prepared for the hardships to be associated with the changes in oil prices.

Reacting to this statement, Muslims Rights Concern (MURIC) stressed the importance for Jonathan to set a good example by sacrifice in order to demonstrate that he is a patriotic leader.

MURIC Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, was quoted as saying by Vanguard:

“Mr. President is not leading us by example if it is true that he still wants to buy a new aircraft. The presidency has explanations to render to tax-payers if it is also true that the proposed aircraft will be the fourth since he took office in the year 2010.

“Why must President Jonathan buy four aircrafts in four years? Is the president walking his talk?”

They also expressed discontent over the fact that GEJ had N21billion donated for his re-election campaign.

“The presidency also owes Nigerians explanations if it is true that friends and associates donated staggering sums of money amounting to millions at the launching of Mr. President’s campaign fund for the 2015 elections which netted N21 billion.”

4 Ways To Break Up Like A Man

Getting dumped can suck, but most guys are used to it. We’ve either gotten the heave-ho ourselves or known guys who have. And though we tend jump right back into the dating pool, the pain can linger. That’s why it’s only right that when it’s our turn to sever ties, we do it thoughtfully, taking the high road whenever possible. Here are my five Guy’s Guy tips for manning up for a break up….even if you’re a woman.

1. BREAK UP IN PERSON
That means no disappearing or ending things by text or phone. Pick a public location, preferably outdoors with lots of people in motion. (Sitting face-to-face in a crowded restaurant can end up a little awkward. What’s left to talk about?) Pick someplace like a park, where you can sit side-by-side watching good-looking people run, walk, and bike past you. This will remind your soon-to-be-ex that the world keeps turning and is filled with potential new partners.

2. BE DIRECT WITHOUT PLACING BLAME
You’ve given the relationship a chance and now you’re just not feeling it. That’s okay. Just take a deep breath and tell him or her how you feel—without blame, detailing every irritating habit (snorting while laughing notwithstanding). Bottomline: It’s not about either one of you. It’s about “us,” and “us” simply isn’t working anymore.

3. BE KIND
No one likes being rejected, especially after baring body and soul. Opening up emotional windows leaves people understandably vulnerable. So be mindful and choose words that avoid piling on additional hurt, even if it might help in the long run to hear the truth. And when it’s over, that’s it. No mind games. Move on. Period.

4. DON’T CAVE
No matter how upset the break-up-ee gets, keep in mind that ultimately, no one wants a partner who isn’t totally into him or her. And if he is as cool as you think he was for dating you, he’ll move on quickly. That’s a good thing for both of you.

10 Characteristics Of Friendships That Lasts

Characteristics of Long-Lasting Friendships That Keep

1. Steadfast support. My friends support me when I am down, when I am lost, when I struggle, and also when I succeed. You can call the friends you keep for help and they expect nothing in return.

2. You celebrate each other’s successes. The friends you keep unselfishly celebrate your successes. They are equally excited or even more thrilled about your triumphs than you are. You are not jealous of each other’s accomplishments.

3. You can laugh at any situation no matter how tragic, frustrating or confusing. Recently, I went to be with my dear friend who had just lost her husband in a tragic accident. I told her, “Don’t worry, you will not be alone. I will marry you!” She exhaled a deep belly laugh and we had a much needed laugh together amidst the sadness.

4. The bond never dies. Physical distance prevents me from seeing many friends on a regular basis. Months or years can pass, but when we see each other, it is like no time has passed at all.

5. You clear space with each other when needed. You are honest with each other. If something hurts you or bothers you, you have the courage to clear that away with one another, and create new space for your friendship to flourish.

6. You let go of some friendships. Just like romantic relationships, friendships can become stagnant or unhealthy too. Or, you can simply grow-apart. You have the courage to “break-up” with this friend. Or if the relationship naturally fizzles, you release yourself from feeling guilty about it. You accept that you can’t keep every friend that you have ever had. And letting go of friends that you have had throughout your lifetime, gives way to a greater capacity to keep your current and future friendships.

7. You forgive. You forgive when your friend doesn’t have the capacity to ask for forgiveness.

8. Boundaries. Every relationship needs boundaries to flourish. If your friend is going through a difficult time that triggers something painful for you, you still support them. You just tell them that you have to support them with some distance.

9. You drop everything and just show-up when you need each other. A friend calls you crying over a breakup or getting laid off at work, you drop your plans that night, and have a girl’s night in instead. A tragedy happens and you just simply show-up with your physical and/or emotional presence. You don’t just text or email, you pick up the phone and call. You show-up for them in-person when you can.

10. The friends you keep form friendships with the other friends you keep. My favorite place that this happens is at weddings. I have gone to weddings solo, shared a room with the bride’s friends, and we have become immediate and fast friends.

HILARIOUS!! TRUE STORY- HOW I PRANKED A GIRL THAT WANTED TO CHOP MY MONEY

There is a girl in my area I met one beautiful sunday evening, I actually saw off my girlfriend to the bus stop and while I was on my way back home, this lady just busted out of an adjacent street and was going right before me, he big carraige actually got my attention, I moved closer to her and noticed she was playing Johnny by Yemi Alade

I then used the opportunity to get her attention by telling her am the Johnny she has been looking for, so God has answered her prayer, she just laughed. I asked if she could send me the song through bluetooth. 'No' she replied 'dunno what's wrong with my bluetooth' she asked if I was on BBM and I said yes, I gave her my PIN 7EEDE7A8, and she sent the song.

We walked some few distance then she told me she had gotten to her destination. I didn't bother to ask for her number since I got the PIN. We later chatted in the night and I learnt she was a teacher in her dad's school, she was just using that to pass time after finishing from Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Lagos until she is able to gain admission into the University.

We scheduled to meet the following day at a sharwamah joint in my locality -SHARWAMA.com. I got her a piece and I as well ordered for myself with a can of beer for me and Smirnoff for her, we talked about so many things and as an entertainment enthusiast, we talked about the industry and she wondered how I get to know much, told her I read widely and have great passion for media stuff. I ordered for another round of sharwama and noticed this girl smiled.

She seemed so happy to have hit the jackpot. It was already late so I asked the server to help get a take-away pack. I saw her off to her house and she gave me her number even without me asking. The following day, she called me and asked if I would take her out that day, I said no problem as money is not an issue. We met at same joint and she ate her sharwamah as usual, but this time around, I didn't order for another round.

We left and I noticed her disposition was somehow dull, she would respond lightly to my questions and didn't say goodnite when she got home. I wonder what could have happened when I remembered it could have been the sharwama I didn't order. I just smiled I tried calling her when I got home but she wouldn't pick, then I wondered the kind of girl she could be, is she really capitalizing on the fact that I showed much interest in her or she is a hungry glutton that just wanna fill her stomach

She never would pick my call from that day and even when she picked, she would give some lame excuse like she's tired or she not in Lagos. I continued to call for close to 2weeks before I decided to halt the calls. I just moved on and didn't call her for close to 2months, then one day I was just scrolling through my contacts when I saw her number, I decided to call her and she was like who is this? I actually expected that and told her it was me, she said 'oh ok, how r u?' I asked why she not been picking my call and she said she got no call credits, I asked if we could meet at the sharwama joint and she said it ok.

It was then I decided to play my pranks on her. Later in the evening around 5pm, my phone rang and it was this girl calling, I just laughed as she had not beeped my phone for 2months, she asked when I would be free and I said 6pm, she said OK. I called her around 6pm that I was at the joint,  she asked me to give her 10minutes.

She later called and said 'We are outside' Alas, she came with her friends! I just laughed. I asked her to come to our usual spot , she came with three of her friends after greeting them, i asked them to order whatever dey want. They orders so much, and i did same.. 5Minutes later, the alarm i had set earlier on rang, i picked it up pretending it was a call, i spoke out loud so they could hear me..
ME: I DEY O.. i just day with my babe and her friends dey relax.. Yes the key is with me.. I would give it to u tomorrow.. U need it urgently ok.. Meet me for that bar bustop. (i mentioned d bustop) Then told the girls i would be back in a minute and left. Lwkmd.. I went Home.. 10 minutes later she called my phone and I asked my brother to tell her I was sleeping. She said 'F you!' ,started cursing And then banged the phone.

Now tell me, have I done wrong by Pranking this girl that wanna chop my money!

For Married Couples – 7 s*x Positions Men Love

The bedroom moves that men love: try these s*x positions tonight.
Want to spice things up in the bedroom? Make his night and drive him crazy with these s*x positions that men love. Ultimately, s*x is about love and intimacy, so while the positions are part of the fun, the real payoff is the way various maneuvers allow you to connect and explore each other in different ways.

1. 1. Woman on Top

2. Missionary
This standard go-to is a favorite because it puts him in control, while still being intimate: your hips are free to do all the work, and you can lock lips and eyes with ease. And while he’s in the power position on top of you, the two of you can set the pace together. If you want him to go slower or deeper, put your hands on his hips and guide him. The best s*x is like a conversation, and missionary allows you to communicate with your bodies.

3. Reverse Cowgirl

This reverse variation of the woman on top position is the best of both worlds for your guy. It gives him the sexy view he gets during doggie style but it puts you in control. This position doesn’t allow for a ton of touching or eye contact, but it’s a nice contrast to some of the more classic, romantic positions. If you’re craving a connection flash a look back at him while you’re doing your thing—it’ll drive both of you over the edge.

4. Doggie Style

This rear entry positions puts him in control, allowing him to call the shots and to go at the speed that’s best for him. Plus, it allows for deeper penetration, making him feel like king in the bedroom. Some women love the intense full feeling, but if it feels like too much, let him know. Communication is key to enjoying s*x and experiencing the full psychological benefits of physical intimacy.

5. Standing Up
Getting it on while standing up is probably not your go-to move, but it’s perfect for that sweaty, gotta-have-you-now s*x that’ll make him feel irresistible. Whether he’s bending you over the new kitchen table or you’re steadying yourself against the wall, this spontaneous position is perfect for a quickie.

6. Spooning
s*x while spooning is the ultimate intimate position, and a go-to for when you’re feeling lazy and affectionate. Not only does it give him total access to your bod, it also frees your digits up so that you can give yourself a hand, a move that’s sure to drive him wild. Make it even hotter by twisting your body and head slightly towards him so you can smooch while his hands roam. Afterward you can slip into an easy, snuggley sleep.

7. lap dance
Pull up a chair and have him take a seat while you get on top. He’ll love the look and feel of you straddling him, and having you in control will help him last longer, too. A bonus? Unlike the standard woman-on-top position, this ones allows for you to stay super close, kiss, and make eye contact. Plus, he still gets to be aggressive with his hands, tugging on your hair, rubbing your back, and pulling you closer.

So, there you have it, give it all to your husband and enjoy a sexful marriage. And hey, to you the unmarried reading this, s*x is worth waiting for!

3 Critical Relationship Mistakes To Avoid In The New Year

Most people get excited about the New Year because it’s a chance to start fresh and do better. It’s the time to think about the changes you need to make in your relationships for you to accomplish your goals in the coming year. Personally, I know there are certain mistakes I have made in my past that have slowed me down in reaching my goals. Here are three to avoid if you’re determined to have a successful year:

1. Staying in the wrong relationships. Whether business or personal, your relationships are key to your success. Ask yourself if there’s mutual respect and consideration in your relationship. Is it helping you to grow? Or is it a one-way street where you’re doing all the giving and not getting much in return.

In every relationship—personal and professional—it is important to assess and make adjustments as necessary as it develops to avoid ending up with the short end of the stick. And sometimes, those adjustments require letting it go.

2. Not maintaining and nurturing important relationships. We’ve all, at some point or another, taken the people we care about for-granted. With it being so difficult to find and establish real, authentic relationships with people who have your best interests at heart, it’s even more important to appreciate the ones you have. This includes those with your significant other, children, friends, family members, clients—and any that are contributing to your well-being.

There was a girlfriend I had in grade school, whom I used to do everything with. At some point, I decided she was no longer cool enough to remain friends with and started dodging requests to hang out. That friendship eventually died, but years later I had regrets about how I had treated someone who had been nothing but a good friend to me. There is nothing like having friends you’ve grown up with who have seen you through some crazy times in your life. Make sure the people you have valuable relationships with know that they’re important to you—they may not always be around.

3. Not developing new relationships. Let this be the year you leap out of your comfort zone. You can’t grow if you don’t stretch yourself and seek out people who are smarter, more successful, and more knowledgeable than you. Who do you know who can contribute to your success, and vice versa? What goals do you have which will require collaboration with others in order to realize them?

We’ve all made mistakes in past relationships. Let 2015 be the year that you invest in those that mean the most, let go of those which are holding you back, and seek out those that will take you to the next level.

5 Signs Your Boyfriend Doesn’t Love You, Even Though He Claims To

Not every woman chooses to leave an unhealthy relationship, especially when she has invested her heart and soul in it. However, while departure is difficult, it can be done. If a man truly loves a woman, he is respectful, loving, caring and understanding. Unfortunately, there are cases when the opposite is true, so it is essential to compare what your boyfriend says with what he does. Here are five ways your boyfriend may not be loving you — even though he claims to.

1. Verbally/physically abusive

Your boyfriend has no issues with embarrassing you in public, in front of family/friends or behind closed doors. He insults you. He belittles your ideas. He raises his hand at you. He threatens you. He criticizes what you wear and compares you to other women.

2. Puts up excuses

Your boyfriend finds excuses every time you suggest meeting your family after several months of dating. He appears uneasy or annoyed that you would suggest that. He refuses to make a serious commitment with you. If you mention marriage and a family of your own, he cringes or avoids the topic.

3. Lacks interest in your needs

You would like for your boyfriend to take part in some of your activities or just show support by rooting for you on the sidelines. Instead, he is only concerned with his activities, ignoring your needs. He doesn’t believe in or support your goals or successes.

4. Lies

Your boyfriend lies to you because “he is afraid of your reaction,” or “he doesn’t want to hurt your feelings.” Those are just excuses for lying. If your boyfriend really loves you, he will let you in on the truth. He will respect you enough to trust you with the truth. He’d rather see you hurt by the truth than see you hurt by a lie.

5. Constantly chooses others over you

Your boyfriend spends most of his time with friends and very little time with you. You find that your boyfriend rushes dates so he can meet up with friends.

Any man can say the words “I love you,” but it is a man’s actions that show whether or not his love is sincere.

My certificates consumed by fire, Sambo tells INEC

Ahead of the 2015 general elections, Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo has told the Independent National Electoral Commission that his Bachelors and Masters degrees certificates in Architecture from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, have been consumed by fire.

Sambo, who is the Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, made the declaration in the documents he filed with INEC and displayed on the commission’s office in Abuja although the details of the fire that consumed the certificates were not given.

Sambo’s papers were received and stamped in INEC headquarters between December 10 and 18, 2014.

The VP’s declaration was validated by two letters from the ABU, a copy of which was obtained by The PUNCH on Sunday.

The first letter, signed by one Alhassan Garba for the institution’s registrar under the title, “To Whom it may Concern: Mohammed Namani Sambo,” read, “I certify that the above-named person having completed an approved course of study and passed the prescribed examinations was awarded the Bachelor of Science (Architecture) with Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in 1976 by the Senate of this University. His original certificate got burnt. Please treat his case in view of this certification. Thank you.”

The second letter, also signed by Garba for the ABU registrar, read, “I certify that the above-named person having completed an approved course of study and passed the prescribed examinations was awarded the Master of Science (Architecture) on May 25, 1978 by the Senate of this University. His original certificate got burnt. Please treat his case in view of this certification. Thank you.”

Meanwhile, indications have emerged that only 13 political parties would field presidential candidates in the 2015 elections.

The parties and their candidates are the People Democratic Party, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan; the All Progressives Congress, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.); Action Alliance, Tunde Anifowose-Kelani; Kowa Party, Prof. Oluremi Sonaiya; United Progressives Party; Chief Chekwas Okorie; and National Conscience Party, Chief Martin Onovo.

Others are African Democratic Congress, Dr. Ibrahim Nani; United Democratic Party, Godson Okoye; Alliance for Democracy, Rafiu Salau; Peoples Party of Nigeria, Kelvin Alagoa; Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, Alhaji Ganiyu Oseni; African Peoples Alliance, Alhaji Adebayo Ayeni; and Hope Democratic Party, Ambrose Owuru.

We Didn’t Rob, We Came For OUR Money – Suspects

Lagos police arrested 4 robbery suspects at the Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos, with the men saying they came not to steal but just to collect their dues.

According to Punch, those detained are Onyenge Osanie, Azuka Eboh, Ezelonwu Michael and Afolabi Shakiru. The suspects were allegedly arrested December 20 while they were robbing the traders at the market.

The gang led by one Friday used locally made guns for the operations. The suspects were mainly involved in selling stolen smartphones and iPads.

Osanie, 35, disclosed that they had robbed only those who refused to “settle” them and who had “offended” the gang.

“We usually work with phone dealers in the market who specialise in selling stolen phones. When we steal, they sell, and they then settle us. But later on, some of them defaulted, and we attacked their shops. It was not as if we robbed them, we only came to ask for our money“.

Osanie, the father of 3, narrated that on the day of the arrest they had taken “only 10 phones” before the police nabbed them.

“I had initially escaped, but two gang members who were caught at the scene later brought the police to arrest me.”

Another suspect, Eboh, 27, said he had to join the gang because of being unemployed, which made life of his family a torture.

Michael, aged 22, confessed to having joined the gang for 3 operations:

“I was working as a truck driver before I met them. I had gone out with the gang on three occasions to rob in the market. We only took advantage of the commotion of the market to rob them. It was not deliberate.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident saying that the investigation was ongoing.

Buhari Challenges Jonathan On Anti-Corruption Credentials

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj.Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), have declared their intention to tackle head-on, the menace of corruption.

They, therefore, challenged President Goodluck Jonathan to show his scorecard on the war against graft by making public the forensic audit report on the alleged missing $20bn oil money.

The APC presidential flag bearer said this in a statement by the Director, Communications, Buhari Campaign Organisations, Mr. Dele Alake, on Sunday.

He said, “In the spirit of the War Against Corruption, we demand the release of the Audit Report of the missing $20bn.

“Clearly unable to oppose us with an equally clean and unassailable ticket, we can understand why our opponents are running from pillar to post digging graves in search of rumours in the impossible hope of misinforming unsuspecting voters and spinning a web of blackmail and deceit.

“In this electoral contest of vision and moral stature, only the guilty needs to be afraid. Luckily, our lives are like the open book. We challenge our opponents to stake their desire to lead Nigeria again on what they have achieved with the billions of resources they received”.

Buhari said if voted into office, he would implement programmes, which would entail a zero-tolerance for corruption, adding that his life was an open book as he had nothing to hide.

He further declared that he and his running mate lived exemplary lives and had become reference points for how to live a morally upright life.

The former Head of State noted that corruption was Nigeria’s biggest problem as it had led to the nation’s multifaceted problems especially the poor living conditions for Nigerians.

He said, “Our vision is a new Nigeria in which corruption and abuse of office shall be sanctioned according to existing laws with the strengthening of the institutions of state; a Nigeria where the public and private sectors will collaborate to create a zero tolerance for sharp practices in the running of government business.

“There is a clear linkage between the billions of naira lost to corruption and the poor living conditions of our people: it is the resources meant for the development of our people that are diverted to service the greed of a few.

“It is indeed true that, by sheer force of personal examples, I and my running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, have demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that it is possible to live above the greed that dominates the system”.

Barack Obama Staring At b*tt Of 16-Year-Old Brazilian Delegate Mayora Taveras | Photo

The President got caught checking out some Brazilian cheeks in Italy — which wouldn’t be so surprising if the cheeks in question weren’t allegedly attached to a teenage girl.

Barack Obama and French President Nicolas Sarkozy stole sneaky looks at the assets of Brazil’s junior G8 delegate Mayora Tavares —who is reportedly 16 years of age – at the G8 summit.

What do you think of the photo?? Man na Man lol

Jonathan To Nigerians: Give Me Five Years

President Goodluck Jonathan today urged all  Nigerians to be patient for another four or five years for the country to be better, Punch reports.

The president was speaking in today’s Sunday service at Christ Apostolic Church, Area 1, Durunmi, Abuja where he worshiped.

He assured Nigerians that his  administration was working hard to put Nigeria on the right path  but warned that the result of their efforts might not be visible immediately.

He opined that if the present achievements of his administration is sustained, Nigeria would become a better place in the next four or five years.

The president also urged Nigerians to continue to pray for his government with assurances that he and his team will continue to give their all in the discharge of their duties.

He said, “For me and members of my team, in spite of the challenges, we will continue to do our best.

“As a nation, we have not reached where we want to be, definitely not. But we are coming up with a number of policies.

“Those who are taking pain to look at what we are doing will agree with us that if we progress as a nation steadily in this manner, in the next four or five years, this country will be a better place.”

Your Plan To Visit Chibok,Others During Campaign Belated..Northern Groups Tells GEJ

Some northern groups have described the planned campaign trip to the North-East as belated, ill-timed and insensitive.

They said for the President to go and campaign to a people who were traumatised by his lack of concern for their plight was, to say the least, “ immoral, irresponsible and callous.”

The spokesperson for the Northern Elders Forum, Prof. Ango Abdullahi, expressed shock at the reported plan by the President to embark on a campaign trip to the troubled region. He said it was left for the people of the area to let their guest know how they feel.

According to him, it beats the imagination that the President, who gives every excuse under the sun to stay away from the North-East, has suddenly developed courage because of his re-election bid.

Abdullahi said, “It will be immoral for the President to go to the North-East in the name of campaign when he has been unable to visit the people for the three years they have suffered from the wanton destruction of their lives and property by the Boko Haram sect.

“It is left for the people of the North-East to show him how they feel. If you recall, Jonathan was quoted as asking where Bama is.

“We have a President who does not know the geography of the country. Maybe his friend, former Governor of Borno State, Ali Sherriff, will show him the way.”

Second Republic federal lawmaker and a Kano State delegate to the just-concluded National Conference, Dr. Junaid Mohammed, said he had nothing but contempt for the President and his handlers, especially when it had to do with the issue of national security.

He said, “I never thought that we could have a President who is this insensitive, who is this irresponsible, who is this irredeemably shameless.

“It is now clear to me that politics and this political gamesmanship is the primary purpose of this guy’s life.

“Human life does not mean anything to him, since the advent of the Boko Haram insurgency, the massive killings and abductions of young Nigerians, he has not even genuinely commiserated with these people.

“What is available to him today in terms of security was available to him three years ago when the insurgency began to spiral out of control.”

Mohammed appealed to all men of goodwill, including foreign powers interested in the development of Nigeria to tell the President that the lives of Nigerians are worth much more than his political ambition.

The spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Lai Muhammed, said that whether it is morally right or not for Jonathan to seek the support of the traumatised Chibok parents many months after he had failed to rescue their children from the terrorists’ den should be left for Nigerians to judge.

“We cannot always be the judge; we are going to allow Nigerians to be the judge in this case. Let Nigerians judge the issue,” he said.

The Secretary of the Borno Elders’ Forum, Bulama Gubio, doubted that the residents would warmly welcome Jonathan because the President had not visited the traumatised parents of Chibok girls since their children were abducted on April 14, 2014.

Gubio, however, said the President was welcome in the North-East because he is a Nigerian and not necessarily because he is the leader of the country.

He said, “Let him come, he is a Nigerian; he is welcome. If all he wants to do here is to come and campaign, let him come and do so, at least he is a Nigerian and he has the right.

“Those who will receive him, if there are, will receive him because he is the President. But really, we don’t see ourselves as Nigerians again. If there are people here who feel they are still Nigerians, they will receive him.”

On the security crisis in Borno State, Gubio said many youths were losing their lives daily to the Boko Haram insurgency as they were confronting the terrorists.

He said, “We are doing our best; we are praying to God. We don’t think of any President now because there is none who is doing anything for us now. Our youths are helping some of the military personnel here to fight the insurgents.

“Many of us have children in the military and in the vigilante group and they are ready to lay down their lives for us; they are doing the best that they can. We are losing many of them, we are not happy, but we have to keep fighting.”

APC Criticizes Goodluck Jonathan Over Recent Remarks

The All Progressives Congress (APC) reacted sharply to President’s Goodluck Jonathan’s yesterday’s remarks made during the Christmas service in Abuja.

    Lai Mohammed

It would be recalled that Jonathan expressed discontent that some politicians “make provocative statements, statements that create division among Nigerians and that can set this country ablaze”.

According to Premium Times, in a December 26 statement by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party said that Jonathan’s comments would have made sense if the president had acted in such a way that his compatriots would not doubt his sincerity.

Nigeria’s major  opposition party recalled the recent incident with Edwin Clark’s scandalous remarks.

“Recently, Chief Edwin Clark, a die-hard supporter of the President, said glibly that if the opposition has its way it can poison or kill President Jonathan just to take power. No statement could be more absurd and incendiary, yet the President never called him to order.

”Another dyed-in-the-wool supporter of the President, Mujaheed Asari Dokubo, said on national television that there will be blood on the streets if President Jonathan is not re-elected in 2015. He also said ‘we will not take any prisoner of war. It will be total battle’, but the President never uttered a word in his rebuke.”

The election of the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, was marked by an intensified war of words between the parties. The statement continued in this relation:

“Since President Jonathan’s main opponent in the 2015 elections, Gen.Muhammadu Buhari, emerged, his party members and spokesmen have been falling over themselves to pour invective on him and his party, the APC. The National Secretary of the President’s party, Wale Oladipo, called the former head of state a ‘semi-literate jackboot’, Doyin Okupe lambasted Gen. Buhari for not stealing money during his many public appointments while PDP spokesman Olisa Metuh issued his most jejune statement to date just to pillory the APC and its leaders.”

The APC accused Jonathan of not calling his supporters and aides to order and therefore concluded that the country leader “has lost the moral authority to call anyone else to order for the same wrong doing”.

The party called on Jonathan to”speak the truth” to his men first, instead of reproaching the others.

“On our part, we say, without equivocating, that we do not need any admonition from anyone, least of all a holier-than-thou President, to avoid actions that could divide the people or create discord or hatred. We are a party of peace, inclusiveness and concord, so President Jonathan should first speak the truth to his party before saying it to anyone else.”

Less than two months are left before the 2015 presidential elections. The political race is getting faster and the pressure is getting higher with every single day. The dust won’t even settle during the Yuletide celebrations in the country.

Boko Haram Has No Basis In Islam - Sultan

Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto, has advised the Muslim youths to stay way from actions that will continue to compromise the security of Nigeria.

The Sultan, who is also the President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, noted this at the official opening of the yearly Islamic Vacation Course, IVC, of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, MSSN, Southern Zone held at Km 53, Lagos/ Ibadan Express way.

Alhaji Abubakar said Muslim youths should fight temptation from anyone to commit any act that would lead to violence as Islam continued a religion of peace.

“We have said it times without number that any act that breeds violence like the one being exhibited by Boko- Haram has no basis in Islam. As you are aware, our religion, Islam stands for peace as its name denotes. So let us remain peaceful always, so that we may live a peaceful life here and be accommodated in the home of peace in the life to come.”

The National President, MSSN, Mallam Sirajudeen Abd-Azeez in a keynote address  charged the Federal Government to find a permanent solution to the problem of violence which continued to threaten the unity of the country.

“The once great and giant nation is at the verge of collapse. It is no more news that terrorism is on the rampage taking over our lands on a daily basis. We want to reiterate that Mr. President should address the nation on why the country is under siege by the terrorists. Why have the insurgents continued to beat the nation’s military arsenals despite the billions of dollars voted for security? Why have the terrorists become stronger even after a year when some States in the North- East have come under partial emergency rule.”

Mallam AbulAzeez also asked Jonathan to put a stop to the threat by his kinsmen to unleash terror if next year’s election was not in his errand.

“Different ethnic militia are threatening they will let loose if their candidates are not elected. The worst threat is coming from the Niger- Delta Militants who have been threatening to cause violence should their tribe-man is not returned for second time.”

He quizzed the basis behind the condemning of about a hundred soldiers for challenging sophisticated equipment to fight the insurgents.

The National Legal Adviser of All Progressive Congress, APC, Dr Muiz Banire advised Muslims to always demand for their rights in legitimate manner.

More than five thousand people have been killed in Boko Haram-related violence, and three hundred thousand have been displaced.

The Boko Haram insurgents have attacked Nigeria’s police and military, politicians, schools, religious buildings, public institutions and civilians with increasing regularity since 2009.

According to Vanguard, a pastor, Pastor Yohanna Buru who is a cleric of Christ Evangelical Church, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna South, disclosed this in an interview with pressmen in Kaduna. He also made it known that the feat is the first of its kind after the series of crises that rocked the state in recent past.

The pastor said the essence of that was to protect the Christian worshipers as part of effort to strengthen peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians in the state. He also expressed happiness over the protection given to them by the Muslim brothers.

Noting that the initiative was an indication that peace has come to stay in the state, Buru said the measure will strengthen a lasting peace between the two religions.

The cleric said that peace was a major panacea to the positive development of any nation.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Church, have prophesied what will happen in Ekiti State.

The men of God prophesied that there will be a brighter future for the state, saying God will intervene in the various problems confronting the state, otherwise known as the Fountain of Knowledge.

Why I Won't Have Office For First Lady - Buhari Reveals

Former of state, Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said he will not have an office for first lady if he is elected into power in the forthcoming 2015 elections.

Giving his reason, Buhari said there is no office of first lady in the Nigerian constitution and there is no official role for presidents’ wives.

He disclosed this during an exclusive interview with Weekly Trust in Kaduna.

According to him, there are ministries which are constitutional like the Ministry of Women Affairs and they should be allowed to play their roles.

He added that women would however play an important role in his administration as he knows what they can do if given the opportunity.

“I was raised by my mother, as I lost my father when I was under six years, so I know what a woman can do if given the chance,” Buhari said.

He explained that he had the greatest respect for women.

Osinbajo Takes Campaigns To BRT Bus +Video download

The vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 presidential election, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday, took his campaign to commercial bus.

Osinbajo joined passengers in the Bus Rapid Transit, BRT from the Tafawa Balewa Square to Barracks area of Lagos, urging the passengers and other Nigerians to vote for Muhammadu Buhari.

According to him, the country is in need of a man like Buhari, APC’s flag bearer to end corruption, Punch reports.

Yemi Osinbajo chatting with BRT passenger

Addressing passengers on the bus, the APC Vice presidential candidate said: “Every Nigerian knows that Maj. Gen. Buhari is a no-nonsense person. He is going to make changes that would turn Nigeria around for the better. Remember that the APC is the party of change. Collect your PVC and ensure that you vote for the APC.

“The only way to make an omelet is to break an egg. You have to do something and I think that all of us, whatever it is that we are involved in must be interested in making a difference in this country. This country needs help desperately. Considering the economy and the security challenges, everyone of us must be involved in trying to get a change.

Speaking on whether Buhari was sponsoring Boko Haram, Osinabjo described the allegations as “pure propaganda,” saying if the former head of state was one of their sponsors, they would not have attempted to kill him.

He gave account of his stewardship as a former Attorney General of Lagos State saying the the Lagos State judiciary recorded huge success because he enforced a zero tolerance policy for corruption.

He added that he would make use of “unusual opportunities to reach out to Nigerians on the need to vote out the PDP.”

When Osinbajo arrived at Barracks area of Lagos, he attracted some APC supporters, causing a mild gridlock on the road. Party supporters, who chanted solidarity songs, struggled to take photographs with him.

Soldiers Have Right For Mutiny - APC Campaign

The All Progressives Progress (APC) presidential campaign head, Rotimi Amaechi, says that soldiers have the right for mutiny.

According to ThisDay, speaking Tuesday, December 23, on the issue, Amaechi claimed:

“The soldiers have the right to protest for the federal government’s failure to fully equip them.”

While it is considered to be a significant deviation from the Nigerian Armed Forces’ doctrine, the Rivers State governor endorsed the mutiny incidents.

The APC presidential candidate Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), who is a former military head of state, is expected to be conversant with the Nigerian Armed Forces Act.

However, the official position of the party, as provided in the recent statement, is that the 54 soldiers sentenced to death had the right to protest their conditions.

“The challenge of the Nigerian military is not funding but corruption. Now they want to kill some 50 officers for their own failure to equip them properly to fight terrorism. The soldiers have the right to protest for the federal government’s failure to fully equip them.”

Amaechi also promised that Buhari, if elected, will handle Boko Haram insurgency:

“I hope that Nigerians will hear the message. The message is simple. Buhari is a strong leader who chased away the Maitatsine terror group. In the same manner, he will chase away Boko Haram.

“Borno was attacked once by Chadian rebels and Buhari then chased them away, even into the border of Chad. He will do that again with the Boko Haram sect. The issue of Boko Haram is not religious but poverty is what will make people go and register with any terrorist group.”

When asked why they were waiting to take up office to tackle terrorism in the North-East, Amaechi responded:

“If we had the power to stop the insurgency we would have done that to salvage the three North-East states presently under emergency rule.”

“State governors do not have the power to end the insurgency but the federal government does. The issue of security is in the exclusive list. APC as it stands cannot do anything to end the insurgency because we are not in power.”

Regarding the issue of campaign funding, the governor said:

“We are launching a campaign fund for Buhari and we are talking with the general to make him the only signatory to it. We cannot fight the president with money. Look at how he has raised his own funds through people he was supposed to prosecute for engaging in the fuel subsidy fraud but didn’t. We can only fight the president with the people clamouring for change in every corner of Nigeria.”

It would be recalled that Buhari received N54 million from Nigerians in support of his 2015 campaign. Meanwhile the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Goodluck Jonathan, gathered over N21billion during a special Fund Raising Dinner.

The fundraising event sparked anger among the Nigerians.

People lamented that  in the course of serious problems in economy and amid unpaid salaries, those governors owing the citizens salaries, still found money to support Jonathan’s re-election bid.
